Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 The last one hundred yes 100 cigars have had the wrapper unravel within two minutes of lighting up. If you don't mind peeling the wrapper off the filler is a decent smoke for three bucks. After purchasing several hundred this particular product will not be improved. Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 I like these cigars for the price. They tend to burn a little awkward frequently hollowing out requiring you to light the outer edge. I haven't had the canoeing that others describe. The wrappers have held up well and burned fairly evenly with a solid ash. 3 5 1

Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 I’ve been buying cigars from JR for over twenty five years. I recently purchased two bundles of these cigars. With every cigar the wrapper ran and when you ashed the cigar the center of the cigar was hallow. If you purchase in store you must return product in store just like if you purchase online you must return online. I live 90 minutes from the closest store. I took pictures of the issue and finally made it into the Burlington store. I summoned the manager explained my experience and she indicated there was absolutely nothing she could do. Are you serious? A customer for over 25 years and there is nothing you could do. You should be fired immediately for your customer service skills because you have none. My days of doing business with any organization that treats their customers like this is over. I have moved to another cigar supplier and I am satisfied with there customer service. JR has gotten so big they think that they don’t need to service their customers. But they forgot that they aren’t the only store in which to purchase cigars. 1 5 1

Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 i picked these up at auction for a very low price but I can say i would gladly pay the retail price or more for these cigars. Though I have never tried the Cuban Cohiba version of this I can say this is a very flavorful cigar. It is smooth but very bold at the same time. The draw was good and flavor consistent. I did have to touch up the burn from time to time but not significantly. I will definitely have these in my rotation. 4 5 1

I've tried 6 sticks and let them humidify thoroughly. Really disappointing. I shipped a bundle to my brother too for his birthday. Embarassed. The only complaint is that probably 5-8% of the cigars had an on even burn or I had to recut and re-light. Typically the problem resided in the top 1/4 of the cigars. Once you recut it it was good. Probably had a bad one since I had to light it more than 2x and the wrapper started unraveling due to a crack near the band but I still got it to the nub. These are NOT my favorite. I find them to be a bit harsh. I was trying to figure out how to word it the other day while playing and as stupid as it seemed to me I kept coming back to how they taste like burning tobacco with a strong precense of smoke. Ha ha. Seriously I don't like the flavor of the smoke at all. It's simply unpleasant to me. It exceeded it and I'm totally content keeping these in the humidor for that purpose. There's better premiums out there, but nowhere near as affordable. Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 These have been my go to cigars for the last few years. I give out a lot at golf outings but have always enjoyed these for occasional personal use. These 2 most recent bundles and another bundle ordered this past May are not the same. These recent bundles have been sweeter and lack the richer flavors of prior orders. The ash isn't as tight and doesn't get more than .5" before it starts to fall apart. I'm used to getting a solid inch with a nice snap when tapped. Also had a number of wrapper starts to flake while smoking which has never been a problem before. Will let them settle in the humidor for awhile and see what happens - I'm thinking these just need more time to mature. FYI, I unwrap immediately and leave in humidor for several weeks before I start passing them out. 3 5 1

Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 First I have bit tried the Behike this is an alternative too so I can't make that comparison. For a house stick though this stick is great! Dark oily wrapper with only a few veins in it. The draw can be a little tough at first typical in my experience with this size cigar. The flavoes are sweet nutty with a little leather. Not a lot of complexity or change but very consistent. I have had a few minor burn issues but i attribute that to the windy days i've tried these. Overall this is a well constructed dependable smoke great smoke for everyday that won't break the bank and will satisfy! 4 5 1
Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 Bought a 5 pack of these to try out I have only been smoking cigars for about a year now and wanted to give these a shot. I really enjoyed this smoke over the last week and got them within two days of order! I had no problems with construction on any of these 5. I used a guillotine cutter and the draw on these was easy producing a good amount of smoke. The burn was even on all five of them and the cigar had a nice firm sturdy ash looked like a stack of quarters. No issues with caps coming off cracks or anything like that. Very smooth enjoyable rich flavor. I will be keeping a few of these around from now on! If you are on the fence give them a try! 5 5 1

Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 I review a lot of the Alternatives...just do a search. Here's my take. Great everyday medium bodied slightly peppery and leathery smoke. Definitely Nicaraguan with its classic characteristics. Consistency and draw are usually spot on, with an occasional oopsie in the filling and binding department. Wrappers are gorgeous, and 99% spot free. Caps are well done and the cigars smoke great. Don't expect this to be a Padron, or you'll be pissed. Expect a medium bodied and tasty, slightly complex, but easy to smoke and enjoy cigar that WONT make the wife upset over the price. Don't take my word for it. Get a 5 pack and see. Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 I have seen Cohiba Behikes in a number of cigar catalogs I get. I wanted to buy a single stick, added on to an order, to see how good it was. After all, it's a Cohiba. Then I opened a JR email & saw a number of JR Alternative 5 packs for only $9.95. There were a number of options & one was an alternative to the Behikes. I smiled & ordered two 5 packs. It was a very solid feeling, good looking cigar, well constructed, no soft spots. I waited a couple of days before smoking one. I used a punch to open the tip & found it to have a nice easy draw, easy to light, had a nice amount of smoke (which I very much like!), no harsh flavor & a strong ash that stayed until I flicked it off. I was very pleasantly surprised at how good this cigar was, I've had alternatives in the past that just didn't cut it. This one does, in my opinion, very nicely. If you want to try a Cohiba without the Cohiba price, I recommend you try this alternative. It does the Behike name proud! 5 5 1
Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 This is a premium quality cigar. The few snobs who've written negative reviews are just ignorant. Even real cubans need aging. Usually 6 months to a year. Because Cuba's broke, and rushes cigars to the market. Don't ever smoke a cigar immediately after receiving it in the mail. Give them at least a month in the humidor, even if you paid $20. Saying this is a good cigar for the price, for mowing the lawn, an everyday smoke, or any other qualifier, just shows snobbery, or inexperience. Defects in cigars happens at all price points. Do you get the point?! This is a fine cigar. Lew Rothman once said, "a good $10 cigar, is a $2 cigar with 8 $1 dollar bills wrapped around it. At $3 each, this is a more than fair price, given inflation since Lew said that. And, the nature of the cigar market. On my budget, I stock up when they are on sale at $2, and feel guilty. I smoke several each day, and cleanse my palate between each with a few plain almonds, so I can fully enjoy each one until they burn my moustache. Get real, get these, and keep a stockpile properly humidified/aging in your humidor. Life is good. 5 5 1

Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 The best feature of this cigar is its flavor—smooth, hints of leather, dark chocolate, and spice. Finishes a little harsh. It has the flavor quality and consistency you’d expect in iconic brands. This cigar can compete with AJ Fernandez, Rocky Patel, and Cohiba (although not the Cuban brand). This cigar Is extremely similar to the Cohiba black. Similarities in the taste and fragrance. However, I cannot give this cigar a five star rating. The cigar burns inconsistently and is in need of constant corrections. This is not a minor issue, it is happened for every one of my cigars. The cigar could be superior if the issue in the wrapper are addressed. However It is a great cigar. 4 5 1
Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 My favorite size of JR E.L.S . Good quality in the 1st of 2 sampler bundles. 2nd not so much. Catalog price went from $50 to $60. Then website posted "Sale" price of $64!! What's next?! There are plenty of other cigars of same quality for less, AT OTHER ONLINE VENDORS. Add S&H and they priced themselves out of the market. That's why I've updated my review. Plus, customer service sucks! I waited for over an hour on hold. Then, on another order, they sent the wrong cigars!! FAMOUS & THOMPSON answer on the 2nd or 3rd ring, and send what you actually order. Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 This is my favotite JR cigar. Infact, even considering the "Premium" cigars JR offers, it is still my favorite cigar. You can find my previous reviewnbelow. But I felt the need to update it. Because I had some negative issues with how JR did business. I'm retired and living on a limited fixed budget. I like to smoke 3-4 cigars each day. So, I can't afford to regularly smoke premium cigars. So, I consider the difference in the amount of flavor I get from a cigar. And, if the so called premium cigar doesn't offer a significant increase in flavor, over a "Value/bundled" cigar, to justify the extreme difference in price, I will stick to the value/bundled cigar. The JR Alternative Edicion Limitada {JRAEL} cigars {The whole Line} are one of my top 5 cigars for flavor, overall. And, the construction, burn, consistency, and appearance rival any premium cigar. Much of the price of a premium cigar is the hype, quality control, appearance, and of course properly cured, fermented, aged, and blended tobacco. But, if you get everything except the hype, brand name, rings, and boxes, for 10-20% of the price of a premium cigar. Then you're getting a GREAT deal. I'm screwing up telling you all this. Now you may buy up my favorite cigars. Leave some for me. I have enough knowledge of cigars, to have several in the same price range that are of equal quality. And, I wait for sales, and use auctions to get great premium quality cigars for $2, or less, That's my budget, but I never suffer for quality. Right now, JR is offering a great deal. They have reissued the JRAEL SAMPLER. 5 cigars of 5 different size, for $44.95!! Check out the regular prices and you'll see what a deal this is. And, you get to see which size/shape is your favorite. Be smart, order more than one sampler! Now for my issues with JR's business practices. First, I've spent more than an hour on hold, waiting for a customer service rep to take my order, or fix an error in my only e order before shipping. I've commented on this in reviews. And, JR just notified me of their new software, and the hiring of more phone reps. So, when I received the e-mail about the sampler offer, I decided to check it out. I spent 5 minutes on hold. I ordered several samplers, So my humidor rotation will not be in jeapordyI'm a happy man! Now, I'll wait for delivery, and see how long it takes to process/ship my order. And, see if they put in boveda packs, to protect my tasty cigars during the shipment period, which has been extended because of covid. It seems you guys/gals have been ordering a lot of stuff online. So, get your sampler, let them sit for awhile in your. humidor. Then buy a Camacho, or some other $8-12 Nicaraguan and compare them. Post a review and tell me what I already know! Enjoy...Oh yeah, dark wrappers, and medium/full body descriptions shouldn't scare you off if you don't like "Strong" cigars. "Strong" cigars have more Ligero leaves in the blend than you prefer. These are med/full flavor. But, they're smooth, because the blend is perfect, and the tobacco well aged. If you like less smoke use a punch cutter. I use a guillotine, to get the most smoke/flavor in each puff. I hope you don't have a mustache, because you'll have to make the choice. Finish the cigar, or keep the mustache. This cigar gets better, and better. I've found that I look better without the mustache anyway. 5 5 1
Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 Earlier tonight I wrote a lengthy review, updating my negative reviews posted below. But it disappeared. Maybe it was too long. But, I wanted to let everyone know most of my issues had been corrected. JR contacted me advising their practices, and procedures had improved (see below). They also communicated they were again offering the sampler of the JR Alternative Edicion Limitada line (JRAEL), 5 of 5 different sizes, 25 cigars for $44.9. So, I called , only waited 5 minutes on hold, then placed my order for several samplers. Now my humidors, and budget are protected. Buy the sampler, let them stabilize in your humidor for a few days, buy a Camacho, or some other $8-12 Nicaraguan cigar. Then post a review telling everyone what I already know. That the extreme difference in price isn't justified. The draw is great, the burn line is perfect, it's not too strong/ It's smooth, but full of the typical Nicaraguan core flavors, cedar, leather, earthiness, and also some coffee, cocoa, nuttiness, pepper, and caramel to smooth out the spice. If you like less smoke/flavor use a punch cutter. I use a guillotine to open them up and get full flavor. No reason to smoke a "yard gar", when you can have these for the same price, 5 5 1

Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 For the price these cigars are great. Construction on the cigars are well done. The burn is razor sharp and I had over a two and a half inch white ash before it fell off. The flavors are coca at the start, lightly creamy, bakers spices throughout, and a slightly sweet molasses. That’s just my palate though. The smoke was pleasant and smooth. The aroma was slightly sweet and also very nice. The draw was snug but not bad. Definitely a double puffer without a draw tool. I would say the strength is medium at best and I smoked mine in the morning. As far a it being a Behike clone I’m unsure. It doesn’t taste like any Cohiba I have had. It’s great on its own though. Definitely a cigar unique to itself for me. I would recommend them a daily smoker morning to afternoon. For the price point it’s absolutely amazing. 5 5 1

Then again, there are times when they are wrapped loosely and likewise a draw is nearly impossible. I often times have to squeeze the sides of the cigar to effectuate a draw of smoke. Then when you get that perfect one, it is a really nice smoke. But it's almost like Russian Roulette as to what you will get when you sit down to enjoy your cigar. Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 I got my sticks in today and was looking forward to them. 6.5 x 56, I was expecting a lot of flavor, first 1/3 had almost no flavor—quite anticlimactic. I got the faintest woody, black pepper spice; opening up nearing the 2/3 mark with light hazelnut perusing the background palette with a cocoa, black pepper on the retro-hale. At 2/3, it drops in and out, dropping off the pepper (besides the retro-hale), picking up more towards the last 1/3 with a nice touch of vanilla, reaching it's heightened intensity near the end of the stick. 3 5 1

This cigar has a ripe aroma out of the package, but once lit, it is terrific smoke. I'm not going to talk about "hints of pepper, paprika, and lilacs" or some such ridiculousness. I'll just say that it has a great taste, is a medium to bold smoke, and after 5-6 bundles (of 20), I haven't had one with a bad roll yet. At the price, you can't beat the value. 5 5 1

Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 I unfortunately read the reviews and made a decision to purchase a bundle of these. Their construction is great, but other than that, I have nothing good to say. All with the exception of of two cigars were plugged, as in, they had no draw. It was to the point where it was uncomfortable to try and get the smoke out, and before anyone says I should have used a cigar poker, I shouldn't have to do that with a bundle of supposedly "edicion limitada" cigars. These, in my opinion, are terrible and I will never make the mistake or take the risk of purchasing them again. I will simply stick to well known and proven brands. 2 5 1

Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 REALLY wanted to enjoy these cigars. They "appear" to be well constructed - beautiful sticks, smell heavenly even but the draw is so tight that I have not been able to smoke not even one... complete waste of what I think would be good tobacco! I have had them sitting in a 69% humidity humidor for 2 months now and even with perfect storage conditions they have not improved. I have tried gently rolling them in my fingers to try loosening them up to going full ape rolling them on a table with both hands to no avail... used loosening tools, picks, shovels, hoes, axes, dynamite!! And if your inhale power is anything shy of a 30 HP shopvac then you aren't going to pull ANY anything through these sticks! It's almost like they rolled a hidden plastic cap down inside or something... Just horrible. I bought these on sale to give them a try but at half of what I paid for them they would be double what they're worth to me at this point. Shame too since the hinted at flavors seem to be right in my wheelhouse and would likely be a favorite - if you could smoke one! I should have tried a smaller sampling of these before jumping on 20 of them. Sad, dejected and hopefully learned my lesson about trying generic cigars. Just tried another and as hard as I tried and wanted it to burn... I tossed another one in the yard looking like somebody just unwrapped a cigar and chunked it out... THAT bad. 1 5 1

I'm an occassional smoker and really enjoyed these and gave them out mostly to others confident that they were a decent cigar. They had great construction, consistent draw and burn and were great with coffee and burbons.. I've had Cohibas and other top brands that always had duds but I can't think of one bad stick with past JR alts.. They have obviously switched the tobaccos and/or sorce along with the band. I will say the construction , draw and burn are similar, but the taste is very different and no more inch plus ash. They are not true to the ring size either. I won't order again. 2 5 1

Sadly the bundle I received was some of the worst if not the worst construction I’ve ever seen on any house blend cigar. 3/4 of the 20ct bundle had dead spots in the sticks and are rolled so loose several appear to be falling apart in the cellophane. I made the mistake of calling jr customer service and talked to a. Sales rep who knew nothing about cigars and didn’t understand the issues at all. He than refused to help me and told me to email customer service who I was already talking too. DO NOT BUY, unless you want to waste your money and get the run around from jr. 2 5 1

Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 I have had JR Alternatives in the past, and have enjoyed each one thoroughly. I decided to give this one a go based on past experiences. This cigar (or the batch that I received) is the absolute worst quality I have ever had in a cigar. I smoke 5-7 cigars a week, anything from $2 el cheapos to $20 premiums. My cigars are all kept at 68° 68% humidity. Out of this bundle of 20, every single one tunnels badly within the first 1/4" and 15 of the 17 that O have tried to smoke had the wrapper shred off (5 of them prior to removing from the cellophane). I purchased these over a year ago, so age is not the issue. I have 3 left, and I won't even give them away. They are downright unsmokeable. The draw is so tight that the stick burns out every 3-4 draws. Smoke output is minimal. Flavor is nothing but char, due to the tunneling and constantly having to religet. I've had cigars in the past that I didn't care for, but these in particular (at least the batch I got) are complete garbage. I expect one cigar a month or so to have to be pitched due to quality issues. After all, they're man made hand made, and they can't ALL be perfect. 17 of the same cigar, all from the same batch, have all ended up in the garbage purely due to poor construction. As I stated earlier, JR Alternatives have treated me well in the past. I will not be ordering this one again. I had to rate consistency high, because every one in this batch is the same. 1 5 1

The most recent shipment came with a new, less impressive ring. That was a hint of what was to come. The cigars smoke in a little more than 1/2 the time. The taste and aroma is inferior to the old. Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 The reviews where mixed so I was hesitant. Finally tried a 5 pack. When you get one that smokes right it tastes just like a Romeo y Julieta Havana Cuban that I had a month ago. (AT least to my senses) Rich, creamy, oily taste. And the aroma matches the taste as it wraps your senses. Full bodied profile yet smooth. Had to work on it to make it burn even and to keep the wrapper lit properly, but I was rewarded very much every time. As with all my cigars it needed a purge halfway through and more as the cigar got shorter. Great down to the last inch and a half. Left me wanting more. I always test a cigars draw before I start, just to see if it needs to be opened a little. It didn't need it but I opened it one time from both ends just for good measure. Construction was fa tastic looking. There was a crack and swell about half way down but got passed that. So I can't give 5 stars on construction. But on flavor and aroma it stands on 5 stars when it's burning right. 5 5 1

Cohiba Behike Laguito No. 6 I bought 3 bundles, about 60% of all 3 had very hot spots and burned unevenly to point you needed a lighter in hand that made it impossible to enjoy the cigar. I'm sure there were stems and not enough quality filler . . It wasn't quite up to snuff, , but not a good deal. When you're paying $93 a bundle, they should have smoked very well fo jr bundles. The j r bundles are usually a good deal for forty or sixty dollars, but not ninety three. I expected a lot more. Not recommended. . . unless the factory sent you guys (jrtobacco)a bad batch of cases. . but i will never know because I'm not ever buying these for even 40 dollars a bundle. 3 5 1

I really like the JR Alternative Cohiba Behike Laquito, smoke these and sublimes everyday and recommend it as the go to. The burn and construction are identical to the sublime, but the flavor profile is different. Really like these!
